White Peony Root Oil is a volatile essential oil extracted from the dried roots of Paeonia lactiflora Pall. (family Ranunculaceae). The roots are harvested in summer or autumn, washed thoroughly, and processed by removing both ends and fibrous roots. They are then either: Boiled first followed by bark removal, or peeled prior to boiling,before final sun-drying.
